solc22 #8 winds of change

The wind is wild in spurts today. The clouds shoot across the sky at its command. The blue sky peepholes allow for spots of sunshine from time to time.

The wind chimes are singing joyful songs of delight. Only occasionally does their tone turn dark and ominous, when a mighty burst of wind evokes their more serious powerful tunes.

If the forecast is correct this is just the prelude, ushering in the thunderstorms of tomorrow. The wind will take a different turn then, with thunder and lightning stirring up the deeper swells.

This wind brings change, as all winds do. We anticipate the variance, hunker down through the full bore, and emerge from the other side with cooler weather and a cleared mindset.

What else scrubs us clean as it passes through our lives?

“Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” Mark 4:41

We had cold, hard, bone-chilling winds today. They’ve been merciless this winter. But you remind me how vital wind is for cleansing earth and “blowing away the cobwebs.”

Oh how well you play with the words to show the wind.
