the music in me – solsc#28

the concert was entertaining

and energizing

the rhythm seeped into my bones

through the vibrations in the floor

even an old listener like me

couldn’t sit still

lights flashed and danced,

and images added their effects

stress fell away…

but the next morning came early

and the lack of enough sleep

dragged me through

the next day

still,

I have the music in me

  1. Judy C. says:

The line: “the rhythm seeped into my bones through the vibrations in the floor” says it all. And even the next day, there is still music flowing. I could feel the enjoyment throughout your poem.

  2. I never thought of what “age” listener I might be

  3. elsie says:

Love that the music was still in you! That’s a sign of a great concert.

  4. Isn’t it wonderful to have music from a wonderful concert linger in your body and soul? That happens to me occasionally and my heart always feels fuller afterwards.

  5. macrush53 says:

I love listening to music that sticks with me! Music that reaches my soul.
